Welcome to the Glennie Senior Years

Our Senior Years program has been designed for girls to learn and grow in ways that acknowledge and respect this unique and special time of adolescence. The transition from childhood to young adulthood presents many challenges for girls, from coping with physical changes, as well as handling situations that can be emotionally and spiritually demanding.

Tuckshop is available for Years 7 to 12 students Monday to Friday and there is also the opportunity for day students to purchase a boarder's lunch each day. Tickets for the boarder's lunch are available from Reception at a cost of $5.50. Students can also arrange a regular boarder's lunch which is charged to your account.

Allergy Aware School

We ask that students do not bring any food containing tree nuts and peanuts to school as there are a number of students at the school with anaphylaxis. We wish to keep the Glennie environment as safe as possible for all our students.

Cafe G

Cafe G is a breakfast cafe run by our hospitality students, located on the western end of the Dining Hall. The cafe is open from 7:15am - 8:15am most days during term time. This is a great option for those students who arrive early for sport or music commitments. Parents are welcome too!

Unwell Students

If your daughter becomes unwell whilst at school, we have a fully-equipped Health Centre and registered nursing staff are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Should your daughter be admitted to the Health Centre, our nursing staff will be in contact with you as soon as practicable.

Parent Portal and Access

Attached to your welcome email was your Parent Portal Login letter which has your own password (Note: current Glennie families will continue to use their existing portal login). This allows you access to the Glennie Portal to access such things as your daughter’s timetable, uniform list, stationery, handbooks, and notices. To access relevant sections click on the button on the home page of the portal. The following link will also assist you with information on how to use the Portal. Getting Started

Communication between the school and home is mostly via your Glennie email which is the Username on your Parent Portal Letter. You can access your emails from the Email button on the portal and are also able to forward this email to your personal email if preferred. Our IT Department is happy to assist you with this, they can be contacted on 07 4688 8811. We also have an APP that you are able to download from the Apple Store called “SEQTA Engage” which is a great way to access the portal from your phone.

The Student Handbook is available on the Parent Portal with an abundance of information you may need to refer. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with the information included in this handbook.

Temporary Boarding

Temporary Boarding is available to Day students in Years 5 to 12. This option is ideal for students during exam weeks, those participating in school programs and activities that require after hour commitments for a short time. Also an option for families with short work travel commitments or family events so a student can continue with their normal school timetable. For further information, please feel welcome to contact us: enrol@glennie.qld.edu.au or phone 07 4688 8888.

Glennie School Bus
